Pause or delete your account

Choose the one that fits: pause for 90 days and keep everything, or delete your account and personal data for good. You can also delete it yourself in the app in under a minute.

Fastest: delete it yourself in the app

Open the Redcapes app, tap Account, then Security, then Delete account. You confirm with your password and it takes effect immediately — no waiting on us. Pausing is by request only — use the form below.

What each option means

  • Pause (90 days). Your account is switched off and hidden — no bookings, no notifications, nothing charged. Your history is kept. Reactivate any time within 90 days.
  • We email you before the 90 days are up. If you don’t reactivate, the account and its personal data are deleted.
  • Delete. Your account closes and your personal data is erased — profile, addresses, payment methods, messages, photos, and request details.
  • Some records — such as transaction and invoice data — are kept where tax, accounting, or other laws require it, as set out in our Privacy Policy.

Deleting is permanent and cannot be undone. If you have a job in progress, please let it finish first — closing an account mid-job can affect your booking and any refund you may be owed.

Send us your request

Use this if you can’t access the app, or if you’d rather we handled it. Telling us why genuinely helps us improve.

What would you like us to do?

Erasing your personal data and deleting your account are the same action — an account can’t run without its data, so we can’t erase one while keeping the other. Pause if you might come back.

Submitting opens your email app with the request filled in, addressed to hello@redcapes.ca. Nothing is sent until you press send there. We reply to confirm, and action verified requests within 30 days.

Questions people ask

How long does it take?
We reply to confirm your request and action verified requests within 30 days. Deleting the account yourself in the app takes effect immediately.
Can I get my account back after deleting it?
No. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you think you might return, choose the 90-day pause instead.
What happens to a job that is already booked?
Please let any job in progress finish before closing your account. Closing an account mid-job can affect your booking and any refund you may be owed.
Can you delete my data but keep my account?
No. Your account cannot run without the data it depends on, so erasing your personal data and deleting your account are the same action. Pausing is the option that keeps your account and history intact.
